Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation
The Henry Mayo Newhall family’s generosity was the very first gift that provided the land upon which Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital has resided since 1975. Continuing the legacy of giving, the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation was incorporated in 1984 to encourage community support of the only hospital in the Santa Clarita Valley. The Foundation’s role was, and continues to be, the Hospital’s philanthropic “arm” of support for continued improvement and expansion of services and capital projects.
Many of our donors experienced the compassionate care provided by our outstanding physicians and an excellent staff of clinical professionals. And, with a close-knit community, many of our clinicians are also our friends and neighbors.
Our philanthropic friends, businesses and corporations have helped the Foundation provide important resources for our community hospital, which resulted in a new nursing pavilion, a new and expanded Emergency Department and Cardiac Services, and a new Roberta G. Veloz Cardiac Cath Lab. Most recently, a newly expanded Wayne and Connie Spears Intensive Care Unit, along with a new Kim and Steven Ullman Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for our tiniest patients, have debuted.
While community support has always been critical to providing outstanding care, it will be even more important going forward.
The Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation is playing an integral role in supporting the development of a new patient tower to care for our growing community. We are planning now for a comprehensive campaign to help build and equip this new hospital building that will soon be announced to our community.
We continue to value and appreciate our generous friends and donors who have shared the vision and supported our goal of serving our community with excellence in healthcare. We look forward to our continued partnership, as Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital grows to serve our ever-growing community.
